Design Intent
This driveway project in Castleknock was designed to create a refined, durable entrance space that balances strong structure with a mature planted character.
Surface & Edging Specification
The driveway surface uses a Ballylusk 10 mm finish, providing a clean, consistent texture suited to contemporary residential settings. Granite edging defines the perimeter, delivering crisp lines, long-term durability, and visual containment of the aggregate surface.
Planting Framework
Strong holly pyramids were introduced as structural planting elements. Their dense evergreen form establishes immediate maturity while reinforcing symmetry and year-round visual presence.
Overall Composition
The combination of mineral materials and structured planting creates a driveway that feels established rather than newly built, ensuring the approach to the house carries visual weight and permanence.
OUTCOMES
The completed driveway delivers a high-definition entrance landscape where material precision and architectural planting work together.
